Features: Zhang Dengkui humorously calls himself a "veteran fan." However, he follows the stars of the Red Army and patriotism. In a letter to General Sun Yi, he described these as bright and brilliant stars. When the Red Army was born in the Jinggangshan revolutionary base area, he was not yet born. When the Red Army began the Long March, he was only 4 and a half years old. At 17, when he joined the army, class was taught by the platoon leader. The platoon leader told about his personal experiences during the Long March. From the mid-1950s to the mid-1970s, he walked through the four battle lines of the Red Army's Long March in stages and collected a large amount of material on the history of the Chinese revolution, legends, and plant specimens, among other physical evidence.
