Writing is like participating in a long and arduous love affair. Lin Bai's "love" is very "selfish"; she doesn't allow any compromise or vagueness in her "love," because she loves too seriously, too actively, so she loves too painfully. In her "love world," there has always been a constant shadow of melancholy and almost deformed female assertiveness, maintaining the state of A One-Man War; the publication of Glass Insects suddenly changed all this, leaving critics somewhat unprepared, even making them unable to find the right words in their dictionaries to describe it. However, Lin Bai (or Lin Zhuzhu) played it out thoroughly in this semi-realistic and semi-fake memoir, sweeping away the past melancholy of her "love," replacing it with a sense of ease. The cheerful mood is just like the bright yellow she loves most.
