Features: Chinese seal carving art has a long history, but so far, no comprehensive series of monographs on seal carving art appreciation have been seen. Compiling a series of monographs on seal carving art appreciation is a new topic for the seal carving community; similarly, it is also a new challenge for professional publishing houses in this field. In the past, some scholars and publishers have touched upon this subject, but their content mostly focused on intuitive appreciation. There is still a lack of in-depth exploration and research on connecting the historical context and cultural significance of the works, commenting on their status in the history of seal carving, and uncovering their aesthetic connotations and tastes. In view of this, our publishing house has specially invited Liu Jiang, Vice President of the Seal Carving Society and a renowned calligrapher and seal carver, as the chief editor to organize experts in this field to compile the "Appreciation of Fine Seal Carvings Through the Ages" series. The content is divided into three parts: Part I: Appreciation of Fine Seal Carvings Through the Ages; Part II: Appreciation of Fine Seal Carvings by Famous Artists Through the Ages; Part III: Appreciation of Fine Bed Seal Carvings. The series follows the chronological order of history, selects representative works, and employs an accessible yet profound writing style with concise and vivid language to elaborate on the aesthetic connotations of the works and their status and role in the history of seal carving. Based on this foundation, a series of books on the copying and creation of fine seal carvings will be developed, aiming to comprehensively construct the three major projects of copying, appreciating, and creating fine seal carvings through the ages, and to contribute to establishing a new era in the art of seal carving for our readers.
