What are the symptoms of gynecological diseases?

Patient's question:

I got bacterial vaginosis last year, and it is said that using potassium permanganate can help. After washing a few times, the itching stopped. However, the discharge is yellow and thick, like pus, but without any odor. I don't know what's going on. Could you please advise?

Doctor's answer:

Use a 2%–3% soda solution to wipe the external genitalia, vagina, or take a sit bath. After gently drying, place 250,000 units of nystatin suppositories deep into the vagina, or apply nystatin cream to the vaginal walls. Do this once a day or twice a day (morning and evening) for 10–14 days. For example: Shuyin Quimei San, a pure Chinese herbal preparation. When using it, first pour the herbal powder into a wooden basin, then add enough boiling water. Steep it to allow the medicinal properties to penetrate directly into the vagina. After the liquid cools slightly, use it to wipe the affected area. The steaming and washing should be done twice a day (morning and evening). For severe gynecological conditions, it is recommended to seek medical attention immediately and follow the doctor’s advice for prompt treatment. Avoid blindly relying on advertisements or over-the-counter medications, as this may worsen the condition.
