Features: The author has been engaged in clinical and research work in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for over 30 years. By applying traditional Chinese pulse-taking techniques (Cun, Guan, Wei, Fu, Zhong, Chen) combined with modern auxiliary methods, he has achieved several scientific research achievements in disease diagnosis and treatment. In the past six years, he has closely collaborated with experts in medicine, electronics, and computer science to develop a pulse-taking diagnostic instrument based on the fundamental theory of pulse diagnosis in traditional Chinese medicine and modern medical diagnosis and treatment standards, as well as an integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine disease diagnosis system. In-depth large-sample clinical observation and research have been conducted. This book analyzes 24,000 pulse diagrams, adhering to the principle of pulse diagnosis for Zang-Fu organ diseases based on the Cun, Guan, Wei divisions. It first identifies syndromes and diseases according to the pulse diagrams, then applies syndrome differentiation and treatment based on the disease diagnosis, combining two approaches. The composite rate of Zang-Fu organ diseases and clinical syndrome diagnosis is approximately 66-67%. The application of pulse diagrams to observe pulse changes and diagnose the trend of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases shows a clinical compliance rate of around 80%. This book holds practical guiding significance for clinical practitioners. Typical pulse diagrams are provided after Chapters 2 to 9 for readers to study, use, and reference. The book is divided into eleven chapters.
Chapter 1: General Introduction summarizes the content of the entire book, focusing on the breakthroughs in the research of normal pulse and the pulse diagnosis of stomach, heart, and brain diseases.
Chapters 2 to 7 analyze clinical data and provide pulse diagrams for diagnosing 19 syndrome types of Zang-Fu organ diseases (heart, lung, liver, stomach, and kidney) based on the left and right Cun, Guan, and Wei pulse-taking techniques.
Chapters 8 and 9 discuss the clinical diagnosis and research of myocardial ischemia and insufficient cerebral blood supply using pulse diagrams, along with an analysis of the principles.
Chapter 10 presents the theory of cardiac regulation, which introduces recent advancements in the research on the central regulation of the heart and the principles of pulse information.
Chapter 11 analyzes the clinical applicability of pulse diagram waveforms for diagnosis, providing references for readers when applying and researching pulse diagnosis.
This book aims to promote the theory of traditional Chinese pulse diagnosis by applying high-tech theories and techniques from modern medicine, electronics, computer science, and information science, following the path of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. It lays the foundation for the digitalization, standardization, and modernization of pulse diagnosis and strives to achieve the internationalization of Chinese pulse diagnosis science, contributing to the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine. This book is suitable for reference and application by researchers, educators, and clinical doctors at all levels.
