Features: "The Complete Medical Works of Yu Jiayan" is a comprehensive collection of the medical writings of the renowned Ming and early Qing Dynasty physician Yu Chang. Yu Chang, styled Jiayan and known as the Western Chang Elder, was born around 1585 and died in 1664, originally from Xinjian, Jiangxi. The book includes Yu's compiled works: "Shang Lun" (4 volumes), "Shang Lun Hou Lun" (4 volumes), "Yi Men Fa Lü" (6 volumes), "Yi Yu Cao" (4 volumes), as well as the rarely circulated "Sheng Min Qie Yao" (2 volumes) (on smallpox). The main content of the book covers Yu's insights into the study of "Shang Han Lun," the foundational principles of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment, his clinical experiences in treating smallpox, as well as the standardized case studies and masterful clinical case records he established. At the end of the book, there is a study on Yu Jiayan's medical academic thought written by the compiler, accompanied by a bibliography of relevant papers published since the founding of the People's Republic of China. The book systematically organizes and annotates five of Yu Chang's medical works, presented in simplified characters and horizontal layout. It is suitable for TCM professionals as well as those studying or researching TCM.
