Is it inverted nipples?

Patient's question:

Because I usually worry about getting breast cancer myself, and my family has had this disease as well. Last year, I had a breast ultrasound, and it said there are some nodules in my breasts, which are not necessarily malignant. I looked it up online, and breast cancer can cause nipple inversion. I can't really see my own nipples clearly. Is it nipple inversion?

Doctor's answer:

Firstly, there is nipple inversion, which is a developmental condition. Generally, it does not require a thorough examination because it can be observed very clearly. Of course, nipple inversion is also divided into three degrees in clinical diagnosis. If it is severe, local negative pressure correction treatment may need to be implemented. Otherwise, it may lead to local infection. Additionally, there is breast nodules. This is a type of breast hyperplasia disease.
