Features: In recent years, the question formats of the Japanese Proficiency Test (JLPT) listening section have evolved from simple to complex, from general to specific, and from broad understanding to detailed interpretation. The number of words exceeding the examination criteria, especially those in compound sentences, has increased. Questions requiring comprehension and precise interpretation of detailed sentence information have also. The selection of questions has become more similar, the differentiation in diagrams has decreased, and the difficulty of judgment has increased. Currently, candidates with approximately three to four years of Japanese language study, even in professional settings, score only an average of 50-60 on the Level 1 listening exam, while non-professional test-takers perform even worse. Clearly, the listening exam has become a major challenge for test-takers. This series is not an academic monograph on Japanese grammar but a set of targeted grammar guides for the Japanese Proficiency Test. It compiles the insights from the authors' daily teaching experiences, providing accurate and detailed analyses of frequently occurring grammatical phenomena in the JLPT, along with illustrative examples. The purpose of this series is to explain and differentiate grammatical phenomena encountered in test questions at various levels, enabling candidates to systematically master the necessary grammatical structures, sentence patterns, and vocabulary within a shorter period of time.
