Features: This is a new edition of a book published 7 years ago on European policy-making. It focuses on European issues in national policy-making. Our research methodology differs from approaches that emphasize the overall unity of EU institutions and political systems from the perspectives of foreign policy and international law. Instead, it highlights the issue of Europeanization in the policy-making of EU member states. Today, this research perspective is widely applied. The book aims to evaluate the functions of the EU and its policy-making process, especially in the past 10 years, the EU has successfully achieved many goals, and its Common Foreign and Security Policy has become a reality. At the same time, the EU also faces the profound challenges of eastward expansion, with the EU members potentially expanding to 30 countries. Therefore, the book reflects the current state of this issue and the domestic and international tasks in various fields in the future. The book includes most of the articles from the previous edition that have been revised, as well as new articles reflecting the latest developments in the EU, the establishment of the European Monetary Union, and the restoration of the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
