How is cervical erosion degree 2 treated?

Patient's question:

A pregnant woman, recently diagnosed with second-degree cervical erosion at the hospital, was told by the doctor that treatment can only be administered after giving birth. However, cervical erosion has caused me many troubles in daily life. What should I do to manage it in the meantime, and I really want to heal as soon as possible.

Doctor's answer:

Cervical erosion is the most common pathological change of chronic cervical inflammation. The main symptom is an increase in vaginal discharge. Diagnosis can be confirmed through a doctor's general examination and clinical symptoms. Physical therapy is the most effective treatment for cervical erosion, including laser therapy, cryotherapy, infrared coagulation therapy, and microwave therapy. Radiofrequency ablation is the latest treatment method. Before treatment, a routine cervical smear cytology examination should be performed. Treatment should be scheduled 3 to 7 days after the menstrual period ends. After various physical therapies, there may be an increase in vaginal discharge, or even large amounts of watery discharge. During the 1 to 2 weeks of wound healing after the crust falls off, there may be some minor peeling. However, if there are no special discomforts during pregnancy, treatment is not recommended.
