Features: The atlas consists of an introductory map and provincial administrative division maps. The introductory map primarily reflects the natural and political geographical overview of China. The provincial administrative division maps are the main part of the atlas, including text introductions, administrative division maps, and plans of major and medium-sized cities. The map sheets are colored according to prefecture-level administrative regions, highlighting the administrative divisions of provincial-level regions while comprehensively representing natural geographical features and transportation and tourism information. Following the text introductions is an index of resident place names at and above the county level, for reference when the administrative division maps of each province, autonomous region, or municipality directly under the Central Government. The index scope is limited to resident place names at and above the county level within the province (autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government) as shown on the administrative division map. The index includes the coordinates of the resident place on the administrative division map (vertical coordinates are represented by ABC, and horizontal coordinates by 123). The index is arranged in the order of stroke count of Chinese characters, with randomly arranged characters having the same stroke count.
