Features: The Russian-Chinese Military Acronyms Dictionary primarily studies military acronyms in Russian. China and Russia share a long-standing friendly relationship. Currently, Russia remains the main source of arms imports for China, including advanced high-tech weapons such as aircraft, warships, and missiles. These weapon systems come with extensive Russian manuals containing numerous acronyms. When encountering these acronyms, we often need to consult a large amount of material to understand their meanings. Therefore, compiling the Russian-Chinese Military Acronyms Dictionary is highly necessary. The dictionary covers a wide range of military terms, including land, naval, air, missile forces, electronic warfare units, as well as military terminology related to operations, command, training, tactical and strategic operations, and technical equipment. It also includes specialized vocabulary in fields such as naval hydrography, maritime meteorology, and computer technology. The dictionary places particular emphasis on collecting newly emerging terms, such as the Commonwealth of Independent States' joint air defense system, information warfare, depleted uranium, information weapons, and national missile defense. This is a comprehensive and broadly covering military acronyms dictionary, suitable for use by military leadership agencies, military academies, research and technical units, and relevant civilian departments. Upon publication, it will undoubtedly greatly enhance our work, improve our working conditions, and also significantly increase our translation speed and quality. The dictionary contains over 21,000 entries. During the compilation process, we referred to the New Russian-Chinese Acronyms Dictionary, The Complete Guide to Russian Weapons, and online resources, for which we express our gratitude.
