Features: Natural resources are the material foundation for human survival and development. Understanding the inventory of resources and their current development and utilization status, as well as studying strategies for resource development and protection, are of great significance for the economic and social development of Zhejiang toward the 21st century. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, the relevant resource management departments in Zhejiang have conducted extensive surveys and investigations on the status of various resources at different depths, resulting in rich data. However, these materials are scattered across different departments, and until now, there has been a lack of a publicly published comprehensive and systematic compilation. In light of this, under the unified arrangement of the State Planning Commission, we organized efforts to compile this volume, "Natural Resources of China·Zhejiang," aiming to provide a scientific basis for planning by relevant parties and offering consulting services for scientific decision-making by government departments at all levels and enterprises. The book is divided into two parts, with a total of 14 chapters. The first part, the Comprehensive Section, consists of 5 chapters, discussing the formation background, distribution characteristics, comprehensive evaluation, utilization status, and development strategies of Zhejiang's natural resources. The second part, the Resource Section, comprises 9 chapters, providing detailed descriptions of resources such as land, water, minerals, climate, forests, aquatic products, wildlife and plants, coastal areas, and scenic tourism. This book combines specific data with analytical evaluations, effectively demonstrating the unity of practicality and academic rigor.
