Features: The "New College English CET Vocabulary and Phrases" book addresses a significant factor affecting candidates' performance in the College English Test Band 4 and 6 (CET-4 and CET-6). Insufficient vocabulary often hinders candidates' ability to perform well in listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation during the exam. Additionally, the vocabulary section accounts for a substantial portion of the exam paper, and the "College English Teaching Syllabus Vocabulary List" clearly defines its scope. Specifically, candidates at levels 1–4 should master approximately 4,200 words (including 1,800 words from the secondary school level), levels 5–6 should master about 1,300 words, and advanced English learners should master approximately 1,000 post-CET-6 words, totaling around 6,500 words. Therefore, scoring well in the vocabulary section is key to achieving high marks. In light of this, we have developed this set of CET vocabulary books based on the "New College English Teaching Syllabus Vocabulary List" by experienced teachers of College English. The aim is to help candidates overcome the challenges of English vocabulary and strive for excellence.
