Features: As a discipline, Comparative Higher Education is a product of the integration of Higher Education Studies and Comparative Education. It primarily employs the paradigms and methods of comparative education research to explore fundamental issues in the theory and practice of higher education. Comparative Higher Education is still an immature discipline, and many experts even argue that it is not a discipline at all but merely a research field with a broad scope. For this reason, we believe that it is more practical and meaningful to focus on studying the practical problems faced in the development of higher education in countries around the world rather than concentrating on constructing a disciplinary system for Comparative Higher Education.
