Patient's question:
Hello doctor! I would like to ask, recently I don't know how my leukorrhea has increased a bit! Occasionally I also have abdominal pain! I feel so sad! When I searched online, it said things like uterine fibroids! It scared me so much!Doctor's answer:
Hello. Uterine fibroids are a relatively common gynecological disease in women, representing a clinical manifestation of a chronic smooth muscle tumor. Then, when women suffer from uterine fibroids, the most commonly recurring symptoms include:(1) Menstrual disorders, specifically characterized by irregular menstrual cycles but with prolonged periods or continuously increasing menstrual flow.
(2) Formation of a mass and symptom control. After uterine fibroids grow to a certain extent, they may cause symptom control. If they press on the rectum, it may lead to constipation or the sensation of needing to defecate but being unable to do so. If the fibroids grow to one side and press on the sciatic nerve on that side, the patient may experience numbness and pain in the lower limbs.
