Features: Biochemical experiments are important research methods in life sciences and many other disciplines. They are also a mandatory basic experimental course for undergraduate students in biotechnology and agriculture. They are not only an essential part of biochemistry course teaching but also play an irreplaceable role in cultivating students' abilities to analyze and solve problems, maintaining a rigorous scientific attitude, and working independently. To meet the needs of educational reform and development in biological education at higher agricultural colleges in China, our teaching and research office, based on years of experience in teaching biochemical experiments and the development trends of the biochemistry discipline, has organized efforts to compile this textbook. The main content of this book includes four parts: ① Introduction to Biochemical Experiment Principles and Methods, which outlines the basic content of biochemical experiment principles and methods; ② Basic Biochemical Experiments, which compiles 31 basic biochemical experiments, primarily serving as teaching materials for basic biochemical experiments courses; ③ Advanced Biochemical Experiments, including the separation and purification, identification, and some basic molecular biology experiments of biomacromolecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, and enzymes. This part is mainly written for students learning research techniques and methods in biochemistry and molecular biology; ④ Appendix, which collects various types of data frequently encountered in biochemical and molecular biology experiments for reference.
