Introduction to Chinese Language Teaching

Features: This textbook adheres to the principle of dialectical combination of stability and foresight. In terms of systematicity and main content, it maintains a certain degree of stability or conservatism, which is a primary characteristic of traditional textbooks. However, our education is not primarily about cultivating students who are prepared for yesterday but rather about preparing tomorrow's students with a vision for the future. This requires the textbook to possess a certain foresight. The difficulty in using this textbook lies in its inclusion of content for teachers and pre-service training at three levels: high school, junior high school, and elementary school. The students who will use this textbook in the future will primarily engage in teaching Chinese at one of these levels. Therefore, when teachers teach, they should focus more on the relevant sections. This presents a challenge in handling the textbook, and it must not be used in a one-sided, "word-for-word" manner.
