Features: This book is a supplementary guide for the Signals and Systems course. The entire content consists of 9 chapters: Basic Concepts of Signals and Systems, Time-Domain Analysis of Continuous Systems, Frequency-Domain Analysis of Continuous Signals, Frequency-Domain Analysis of Continuous Systems, Complex Frequency-Domain Analysis of Continuous Systems, System Function and System Simulation in the Complex Frequency Domain, Time-Domain Analysis of Discrete Signals and Systems, Z-Domain Analysis of Discrete Signals and Systems, and State-Space Analysis. Each chapter is divided into 7 sections: Learning Objectives, Key Points of the Chapter, Summary of Content, Key Knowledge Structure, Typical Example Analysis, Exam and Entrance Exam Guidance, and Fully Solved Exercises for the Chapter. The appendix at the end of the book provides graduate entrance examination questions (with solutions). This book can be used as a study guide for university students and a review book for entrance exams, as well as a reference for teachers. The Signals and Systems course is a crucial technical foundation course for majors such as Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering, Power Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Automatic Control, Information Processing, and Acoustics. It primarily studies the fundamental theories and methods of analyzing signals and systems and their applications in engineering practice. Mastering this course is of great importance for laying a solid foundation, developing abilities, enhancing intellectual skills, fostering strong non-intellectual qualities, cultivating scientific and innovative thinking methods, and improving methodologies for scientific and technical research. The characteristics of the Signals and Systems course include extensive content, depth, novelty, and breadth; it heavily relies on advanced engineering mathematics knowledge, which is relatively abstract. The exercises in this course are diverse, with deep and broad implications, high difficulty, significant computational workload, and strong emphasis on computational techniques, making it challenging to master. Therefore, students greatly need a high-quality self-study guide. Additionally, the Signals and Systems course is also a required subject for graduate entrance exams in the aforementioned majors, and candidates also need a practical and effective review book. To meet these needs, we have compiled this book for course teaching, learning, and exam preparation. The compilation of this book is based on the content, structural system, and chapter order of the textbook "Signals and Systems" by Duan Zhemin and Fan Shigui (Second Edition, Xidian University). We have also provided fully solved exercises for the book. However, since this book is written in accordance with the "Basic Requirements for Signals and Systems Course Teaching" promulgated by the Ministry of Education of China, it is equally applicable to other versions of Signals and Systems textbooks used by different universities.
