Sometimes I wonder how I taught the course before it! This book primarily highlights hotel marketing and management cases. As I advocate, if I can accept the premise that any management behavior in a hotel is a market behavior because it affects customers, then this book can be used as a tool for marketing and management in different courses. The reasons are as follows:
1. Each case clearly addresses management issues from multiple perspectives;
2. These cases include fundamental information on hotel management from various angles, such as: in different cases, one can find management factors like catering costs, financial statements, organizational structure, human resources, relationships with owners, franchising agreements, architectural and design concepts, and other elements in this compromising industry, which are all basic factors to consider when making strategic decisions.
