Features: Research issues concerning aesthetic education. Many scholars believe that research is an important support for improving the future level of aesthetic education. Currently, the primary focus in research on aesthetic education should be on strengthening disciplinary awareness. Aesthetic education is an interdisciplinary and marginal discipline that lies between aesthetics, education, and psychology. At its core, it is a branch of education but possesses relative independence and becomes increasingly significant with the development of the times. Therefore, as an independent discipline, it should have an organic knowledge base, various unique research methods, and a group of scholars who share a consensus on the fundamental ideas of this field. We should consciously move in this direction to build and develop the discipline of aesthetic education. At the same time, because aesthetic education is an interdisciplinary and marginal discipline, it relies on the joint attention and collaborative efforts of scholars from relevant fields such as aesthetics, education, psychology, sociology, and neuroscience to achieve new breakthroughs.
