Building equipment is a specialized technical course. The purpose of studying this course is to master the basic knowledge of building equipment; understand the working principles of various building equipment, the characteristics and selection of different equipment systems; and acquire relevant knowledge of building equipment engineering design calculations. During the writing process of this book, to address the conflict between limited teaching hours and a large amount of course content with many new technologies, the authors adopted a relatively concentrated system of content from the original specialized courses while trying to compress those parts that have gradually become common knowledge. For the content related to new technologies and new equipment, the principle and characteristics are introduced in detail, while the application is briefly described to avoid excessive length. This book provides a brief introduction to displacement ventilation, VRV air conditioning technology, and gas soft radiant heating systems.
