Features: To cater to the professional characteristics of students, Shandong Radio and Television University has specifically offered a "Calligraphy and Mandarin" course for teacher education students, listing it as a designated elective course starting from the 1997 class. The aim is to enhance students' fundamental qualities and skills through training in Mandarin pronunciation and accent correction, as well as in standardized Chinese character writing. This course also assists students in smoothly passing the Mandarin Proficiency Test and obtaining the qualification certificate for secondary school teaching.
This textbook is designed and compiled in accordance with the requirements of the Mandarin Proficiency Test. Part 1 explains the basic knowledge of Mandarin and dialect correction, as well as issues related to reading and conversation, tailored to the characteristics of Shandong dialects. Part 2 introduces the features of Chinese characters, standardized writing norms, and techniques. The appendix, based on the key and challenging points of the test, selects and reorganizes the "vocabulary" range provided in the "National Mandarin Proficiency Test Syllabus" and adds Pinyin annotations to easily misread words in the "reading materials."
