Features: In teaching, the author has found that some students, during the initial stage of learning Japanese, extensively memorize vocabulary, phrases, short sentences, and even entire passages. They seize every opportunity to express themselves using simple Japanese. At this stage, their progress is noticeable, and everyone experiences a sense of achievement. However, as their Japanese knowledge becomes more advanced and they attempt to express more complex ideas in writing or speech, they often struggle and exhibit bizarre phenomena, such as university-level thoughts paired with elementary-level language. The reasons for this are complex, but improper use of connectors is likely one of the overlooked factors. For this reason, the author has long aspired to compile a reference book on the subject. Fortunately, the opportunity to participate in the compilation of the "Essential Japanese Learning Series" made this wish a reality. However, due to the author's limited research in this area, this book can only introduce some reflections and learning experiences on connectors gathered from daily teaching to Japanese learners, hoping to be of assistance to all. With simplicity and practicality as its main objective, the book explains approximately seventy-nine commonly used connectors. Considering that other words also serve as connectors in Japanese, additional sections on connecting particles have been added. The selected words are explained by defining their meanings and providing illustrative examples. Additionally, for the convenience of Japanese learners, grammatical terms in the book are primarily translated directly from Japanese.
