Features: The second book of "Basic Arabic" consists of seventeen lessons. The first sixteen lessons are formal texts, and the seventeenth lesson is a comprehensive exercise. The entire book contains approximately 960 new words. Each lesson includes dialogues, texts, grammar, reading, listening, and oral and written exercises. The content of this book still focuses on students' daily life both inside and outside of school, aiming to enhance their learning interest, provide more practical opportunities, and build a solid foundation. The dialogues in this book emphasize the design of scenarios, strengthen communicative function training, and include interactions between Chinese students and Arab students studying in China. The purpose is to cultivate students' basic language expression and communicative abilities, as well as to develop good habits of using Arabic. Most of the texts in this book are adapted from Arabic originals, with a few co-authored by experts. The language is concise and standardized, which is beneficial for beginners to build a solid language foundation. During the teaching process of the texts, emphasis should be placed on understanding, mastering, and applying. To help students preview and reduce learning barriers for self-learners, we have listed key vocabulary examples for each lesson and provided annotations for difficult points. The oral exercises in this book include phonetic exercises, Q&A, mechanical drills, situational dialogues, functional training, and retellings. The written exercises include word form changes, vocabulary and sentence pattern applications, grammar exercises, comprehensive exercises, and calligraphy. Each lesson also includes listening exercises and reading materials, accompanied by check exercises. The content of the listening exercises is recorded on audio tapes and not printed with the texts, but for the convenience of instructors, we have attached them at the back of the book. The grammar content in this book is the basic content of Arabic grammar, arranged in a progressive order from easy to difficult, combined with language phenomena in the texts. The explanations are concise, with some parts only briefly covered. Each grammar section is accompanied by an appropriate number of exercises.
