Features: The implementation of quality education not only requires us to transform educational concepts but also to reform the current textbooks and various teaching aids. Reducing students' academic workload does not mean eliminating homework or exercises. Practice has proven that timely and appropriate training and assessment are crucial elements in improving teaching quality: training reinforces, enhances, and develops knowledge and skills, while assessment measures academic competence. To implement the spirit of the teaching syllabus, improve classroom teaching quality, and strengthen the cultivation of basic skills and innovative abilities, we have compiled this "One Lesson, Three Exercises" series based on the new chemistry textbooks for each grade from the People's Education Press.
According to the characteristics of the chemistry discipline, we regard one section of the textbook as "one lesson." "One Lesson, Three Exercises" is divided into three levels: basic exercises, comprehensive exercises, and extended exercises. Basic exercises primarily assess students' understanding of knowledge and emphasize the training of foundational knowledge. Comprehensive exercises focus on the integration and permeation of key points, emphasizing the cultivation of students' thinking abilities. Extended exercises emphasize application, guiding students to initially use chemistry knowledge to observe and solve various chemical-related problems in daily life, production, and society, thereby fostering practical skills and innovative spirit. Some volumes of this series also include two sets of final exam papers, with difficulty levels aligned with those of middle and high school entrance exams. The questions are designed with a gradual difficulty progression and cover knowledge within the syllabus.
The purpose of this series is to strengthen students' cultivation and training in foundational knowledge and basic skills. The exercises focus on assessing students' understanding and application of knowledge, with an emphasis on developing their thinking and knowledge transfer abilities. This approach integrates knowledge feedback, ability training, and quality development. All questions in this series are carefully selected and meticulously compiled, highlighting foundational, comprehensive, and innovative aspects. They are characterized by being comprehensive, typical, flexible, and novel. Answers and solution hints are provided at the end of each book for students to facilitate feedback and self-assessment.
This series was compiled collaboratively by outstanding teachers and education researchers from Haidian, Dongcheng, Xicheng districts in Beijing, as well as Shenyang, who participated in the trial of the new textbooks from the People's Education Press and possess in-depth research on both the new textbooks and middle and high school entrance exams.
