Features: Hai Ne has been gone for two hundred years. He once eagerly entered this world, whether he fiercely satirized this unclean and ugly world, whether he was torn between how to face the planning and destruction of others toward the world, or whether he romantically hoped for an ideal construction of this world. Regardless, he passionately cherished everything in this mortal world. The thick twelve-volume Complete Works of Hai Ne records his life passion, his understanding and perception of the world. Without a doubt, they can be called a history, a rich cultural heritage, or a life full of arduous yet hopeful aspirations for life. The orange-yellow cover does not boast any glory or brilliance, but we clearly feel a flame of hope still burning, the light of life. This is the power of poetry, the radiance of this great poet. Hai Ne devoted most of his life to the endless exploration of rational ethics. As a German citizen with a strong sense of society, he poured all his passion and rational ideas into establishing the progress and civilization of the whole society, thereby achieving the perfect individuality of every citizen. In other words, Hai Ne's dream was that the era and society he lived in could progress into a paradise on earth filled with peace, justice, glory, and love, constantly advancing and improving in morality. In fact, this is the common aspiration of the ambitious and proactive people of all ages. Hai Ne always hoped to advance forward as a warrior heading toward the light, and such an identity came at the cost of him feeling even deeper the darkness of the society he lived in and the suffering of the people within it. Hai Ne, born in 1797, faced a turbulent Germany and a turbulent Europe. The people, in their suffering, longed for a revolution to save them but feared another revolution that would more severely crush them. In reality, regardless of which period of turbulence, they bore the heavy body of "society" to some extent, intentionally or unintentionally squeezing and harming the weak. Before Hai Ne was born, the old woman in Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities was bitterly enumerating the crimes of the aristocracy, weaving curses in pain and cruelty. After Hai Ne became a poet, the Silesian weavers in his works still wove in pain and cruelty: "We weave, we weave / We weave triple curses / We weave time passing, the era changing, yet the suffering of the people seems to continue endlessly." Is the soil of Hai Ne's literary life indeed this world's suffering? Two hundred years have passed, a poet named Hai Ne has existed and passed away, and it has all been a long time ago. Even so, people living in the present still admire and respect him. Now, with the thick twelve-volume collection of his works, we can more comprehensively and profoundly understand this world-renowned literary giant and enter his poetic life. The orange-yellow cover may be the poet's burning poetic radiance, moving us, warming us, and illuminating us.
