Twentieth Century English Poetry Anthology

Features: Looking back at the publication of foreign poetry in China during the 20th century, we can very clearly see that the translation of poems has always been in a scattered, non-systematic state. We are publishing this series, "20th Century World Poetry Translation Collection," precisely to change this situation. We hope to contribute our modest efforts to fill a gap in China's publishing industry, thereby constructing a long corridor of the 20th-century world poetry history in Chinese, providing a complete picture of 20th-century poetry. This series plans to include fifty volumes, divided into five collections, with ten volumes per collection. 20th-century English poetry refers to poems written or published between 1901 and 2000, composed directly in English. The authors primarily come from countries and regions where English is the mother tongue, national language, official language, or a widely spoken language. As the most widely used literary creation in the world's most widely used language, English poetry has also achieved remarkable developments and accomplishments in the 20th century. The 394 translated poems of 128 poets from 18 countries included in this book are selected from the translators' works over the years.
