Features: People often observe their clothing and appearance in the mirror and make appropriate adjustments to avoid any social awkwardness. Why can’t we seriously study the spiritual images reflected in the mirror of the soul through our inner processes? All dreams are closely related to the real you, with the only difference being the degree of connection. Through dream interpretation, you will be surprised to find that many aspects of your waking life have been hinted at or manifested in your dreams. Regarding dream interpretation, there have been numerous works written on the subject throughout history, both in the East and the West. The number of websites about dreams on the Internet is also overwhelming. If any reader is interested, they can easily find a wealth of information using search engines, so there is no need for me to elaborate on this here. As for the meaning of dreams, there is not much I can say, because I am neither a psychologist nor a psychiatrist. At best, I am merely a translator of words, and I do not consider myself qualified to make such high-level summaries and judgments about dreams. If readers still have a keen interest in this area, I recommend reading "The Complete Dream Dictionary," written by a scholar named Zhuge Jun. I have read it and believe him to be a master in this field. If you find his book still not satisfying, and you wish to pursue a more academic exploration, I suggest reading "The Interpretation of Dreams," one of Sigmund Freud’s seminal works, recognized worldwide as a leading expert in dream interpretation. His explanations of dreams are both classic and fascinating, but whether you believe them or not is entirely up to you. What I want to say here is only related to the compilation of this book. First, this is a good book. I don’t think I need to say much about this, as your choice to purchase it has already proven it. So, what makes this book so good? I believe there are three main reasons: practicality, authority, and comprehensiveness. Regarding the first and third points, readers will see for themselves. As for the second point, I would like to explain that, so far, in the Western world, which places great emphasis on subjective consciousness, this book’s authority in practical dream interpretation remains unchallenged. Since its publication, the book has been reprinted countless times, though the exact number of editions is impossible to count. What we do know is that in bookstores across many countries, different versions of this book have remained consistently popular. Next is the compiler of this book, Gustavus Miller. About this person, I should have written extensively, because without him, readers would not have had the opportunity to read this good book. However, to my shame, I have still been unable to find any information about him to this day. I have searched the Internet extensively, checked related encyclopedias, the World Biographical Dictionary, and other reference books that I thought should be consulted, but I have found no information about him. If any reader happens to uncover any clues about him, please do let me know. I would like to express my gratitude in advance. Lastly, about the compilation of this book. This book should be considered a translation, as I have made almost no changes to its content. However, I chose to use the term "compiled" in the title mainly because, during the translation process, I was unable to translate the original text 100% verbatim. Instead, I made selections, removed a small amount of content that was not suitable for Chinese readers, and modified some overly forced interpretations. Additionally, for the convenience of readers, I have added an index at the end of the book, arranged according to Chinese pinyin, to facilitate easy reference.
