Chapter 9 discusses activity-based costing, covering the basic principles and functions of activity-based costing.
Chapter 10 is on responsibility accounting, including the significance of responsibility accounting, the classification and characteristics of responsibility centers, performance evaluation of responsibility centers, and the determination of internal transfer prices.
These three chapters belong to the control and performance evaluation section of management accounting.
Chapter 11 is on strategic management accounting, primarily explaining the basic meaning and main functions of strategic management accounting. This chapter represents a new field in management accounting and also signifies a future direction for the discipline.
