Features: For more than 40 years since its establishment, the Yunnan Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences has been dedicated to the research of natural medicines. Over the years, generations of pharmacists have tirelessly ventured into the mountains to investigate medicinal sources, take on-site photographs, and collect specimens, making selfless and persistent efforts to develop Yunnan's natural medicinal resources, achieving fruitful results. This illustrated guide has been compiled and published. To better promote and utilize Yunnan's traditional Chinese medicine resources, this guide plans to conduct field color photography of over 6,000 types of natural medicinal resources in Yunnan, carefully organize them, and publish them in volumes. The second volume includes 508 species of Yunnan's natural medicines. Each species features vivid color photographs and a description of approximately 600 words, covering plant morphology, distribution and habitat, medicinal parts, collection and processing, properties, meridians, efficacy, and modern research. The classification of ferns follows Qin Renchang's system, gymnosperms follow Zheng Wanjun's system, and angiosperms follow Hutchinson's system. The modern research section is compiled based on published materials. At the end of the book, there is a Latin name and Pinyin index, and the table of contents is arranged in the order of Chinese character strokes for easy retrieval and clear understanding, vividly reflecting the status of Yunnan's natural medicinal resources.
