Features: In addition to the inclusion of medicinal congee recipes in various medical classics throughout history, there are also numerous recipes in the form of folk remedies and proven formulas passed down among the people. Through extensive research and verification, we have selected 555 medicinal congee recipes for health preservation and disease treatment, compiled into a book to facilitate the use of these recipes by ordinary people in urban and rural areas of our country for symptom-specific selection, disease prevention and treatment, health preservation, and further improvement of physical fitness. The selected medicinal congee recipes in this book consist of five components: composition, preparation method, efficacy, application, and usage. The composition includes both medicinal ingredients and their dosages, with dosages calculated according to the unified national measurement unit "grams." The preparation method introduces the process of making the congee, efficacy briefly describes the therapeutic principles of each recipe, application specifies the scope for disease prevention, treatment, and health preservation, allowing patients to choose appropriate recipes under the guidance of a doctor, and usage primarily explains the methods of consuming the congee and any precautions. It must be acknowledged that although medicinal congee has certain values in disease prevention, treatment, and health preservation, it still has certain limitations. For critically ill patients, hospital treatment should be sought first.
