Claude Sehaye was born on November 10, 1938, in Suisson-Brie, France. Like all newborns, he initially made messes in his own pants. After many years, he successively caused chaos in a glass factory, a magazine company, and a church, indulging in his penchant for defacing things! From the age when he could bite pencils and chew erasers, he began to doodle everywhere he could reach. For example, on paper scraps, bathroom walls, door wallpapers, and even his own and his younger brother's notebooks, as well as his little friends' clothes. After excelling in his studies, Sehaye first joined a workshop to learn how to break dishes and make a mess, then another workshop to learn how to mix and destroy ceramics. He even spent some time freely scribbling on the stained glass of a church! By 1963, he began experimenting with defacing some oil paintings and playfully manipulating some engravings. Starting in 1963, his works frequently appeared in newspapers and on television, causing public panic and restlessness.
