Features: This book selects 11 graduation theses from the humanities and social sciences of Tsinghua University in the 1930s, all from 1935 to 1937.
1. There are approximately hundreds of graduation theses from Tsinghua University in the 1930s preserved in the Tsinghua University Library. They vary in format, length, and content. Some theses are as substantial as books, while others cite ancient scripts, images, and multiple foreign languages. Due to technical and length constraints, we cannot select them entirely based on academic excellence or their significance to contemporary scholarship. Instead, we selected them based on criteria such as topic, length, quality, and even typesetting convenience. Therefore, there may be omissions and inappropriate selections. Additionally, all 11 selected theses are from graduates between 1935 and 1937, not because theses from these years were of the highest quality, but because the library currently preserves more theses from these years.
2. Since these theses are from the 1930s, some of their argumentation styles differ significantly from current conventions. Certain terms, concepts, and terminology used are also different from today. To faithfully preserve their original form, we have made no edits.
