Why has the amount of leukorrhea increased recently?

Patient's question:

Previously everything was quite normal, and it seemed that the leukorrhea was not excessive. However, recently there has been a noticeable trend of increasing leukorrhea.

Doctor's answer:

Common causes of increased vaginal discharge:
1. During candidiasis (yeast infection), the discharge may be yellow or white, mostly viscous, sometimes thin, and typically appears like cottage cheese or creamy clumps.
2. In trichomoniasis, the discharge is thin and purulent, yellow, foamy, or like dirty water (greyish-white), and often has a foul odor.
3. With cervical erosion, the discharge is usually yellow, viscous like mucus, and mostly odorless.
4. In gonorrhea, the discharge is yellow and purulent.
5. During endometritis or other pelvic inflammatory diseases, the discharge may increase continuously, turning yellow and thin, often accompanied by abdominal pain.
6. With fallopian tube cancer, due to tumor-induced fluid leakage from the fallopian tube epithelium and necrotic inflammatory tissue, watery discharge may reappear persistently.
