Publish Date: 2003-08-01
Features: This book is categorized according to the general pharmacology classification method, selecting drugs with proven efficacy and including as many new drugs as possible, covering over 1,300 clinical emergency and outpatient drugs. The drugs listed are divided into ten categories, with each drug introduced in four aspects: "Drug Name and Specifications," "Mechanism of Action and Indications," "Usage and Dosage," and "Precautions." The drug names are based on the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China (2002 edition) and the Drug Terminology compiled by the Pharmacopoeia Commission of the Ministry of Health. English names, synonyms, or common names, as well as widely used commercial names, are provided. According to clinical needs, this book includes drugs from the National Essential Medicines List (2000 edition). For National Essential Medicines Category A, a "★" is marked before the official name in the directory, while Category B drugs are marked with a "▲." In the "Mechanism of Action and Indications" section, the book appropriately suggests the mechanism of action and scope of indications for the drugs. In the "Usage and Dosage" section, adult and pediatric dosages are clearly stated to facilitate pediatricians' reference. For those not specially noted, the dosages listed are for adults, and pediatric dosages for such drugs should be calculated using the formulas in the appendix. The "Precautions" section includes relevant information such as contraindications, general precautions, drug interactions, and adverse reactions to assist readers in making informed decisions.
