Features: This tutorial is an examination preparation book corresponding to the examination syllabus of Western Medicine Comprehensive Subjects. The book is revised based on the fifth edition published by the People's Medical Publishing House and also takes into consideration the sixth edition. It is one of the earliest editions of Western Medicine entrance exam coaching materials, which has been improved and revised over 10 years, benefiting 500,000 readers. Originally written by Ji Ren, it was later changed to be written by Professor Xiao Yi due to age-related reasons. It is suitable for candidates preparing for the 2005 Western Medicine entrance exam for comprehensive and foundational review. Its unique qualities are as follows: The arrangement of disciplines and the proportion of subject examination content strictly follow the scale standards specified in the examination syllabus. Each chapter is divided into four parts: "Syllabus Requirements," which reflects the syllabus's knowledge requirements for the chapter; the second part is "Syllabus Essentials," which elaborates on the syllabus's examination scope in concise and comprehensive text, with key points highlighted and difficulties analyzed. This section systematically summarizes ands the knowledge points required by the syllabus, helping candidates refine the essential aspects needed for the exam from complex professional books, completing the process of "from thick to thin" and ensuring they do not lose or miss points in the exam; the third part, "Analysis of Past Exam Questions," replaces all old questions before 1999 with new questions from 1999 to 2004 (with the exception of some typical questions), accompanied by detailed critiques, allowing candidates to understand not only "what" but also "why," and to uncover common mistakes and their sources; the fourth part includes "Self-Assessment Questions for Chapter Ability." At the end of the book, there are full-length mock tests, the 2004 Western Medicine entrance exam questions, and a pre-examination knowledge point summary, particularly the knowledge point summary before the exam, which greatly benefits candidates in refining key knowledge and organizing memory. This book is edited by renowned professors from Peking University Health Science Center. During the writing process, it also received support and assistance from experts and professors from Peking Union Medical College, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Tongren Hospital, General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, General Hospital of the Air Force, and the Military Medical Library. Special thanks are also given to the authors with rich clinical teaching experience and question-setting experience for their supplements.
