Features: Spring is a season when respiratory infectious diseases are prone to occur. Due to climatic influence, it is easy to trigger localized outbreaks of certain respiratory infectious diseases. According to expert predictions, there will be no large-scale outbreaks of respiratory infectious diseases nationwide in the near future, but localized areas may experience small-scale outbreaks. In recent weeks, there have been successive cases of atypical pneumonia characterized by "high fever, dry cough, normal or low white blood cell count, and patchy pulmonary infiltrative shadows on chest X-rays" in parts of Guangdong Province. Patients develop symptoms rapidly, with fever, chills, accompanied by headache, joint and whole-body pain, fatigue, dry cough, and little sputum. The disease is moderately contagious and can be transmitted through close contact over short distances. Due to the rarity of this disease, its sudden emergence, and the general lack of relevant knowledge among the public, it has caused some unnecessary panic. Leaders of the Party Central Committee and the State Council have shown great concern for this epidemic and have demanded that relevant departments take active measures to control the situation. The Ministry of Health has sent an expert team to Guangdong Province to assist in prevention and control efforts. Thanks to a series of rapid and effective measures being taken, the spread and expansion of the epidemic have been effectively contained at this time.
