Features: Starting from January 2003, infectious atypical pneumonia outbreaks were discovered in some parts of China. Under the leadership of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, the Ministry of Health organized the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, along with relevant provincial (municipal) health departments, to actively carry out prevention and control efforts against atypical pneumonia. To date, China has achieved preliminary results in the prevention and control of atypical pneumonia. To enhance public awareness of infectious atypical pneumonia, alleviate unnecessary panic, and provide scientific methods for self-protection, we have organized experts from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, provincial and municipal disease control institutions in Guangdong Province, and healthcare institutions in Guangdong Province—directly involved in the prevention and control of atypical pneumonia—to conduct a phased summary of the epidemiology, clinical aspects, etiology, and prevention and control efforts of the disease. Based on this, we have compiled "Q&A on Prevention and Control of Infectious Atypical Pneumonia." This book comprehensively introduces the basic concepts, epidemiological characteristics, clinical manifestations and diagnosis, treatment methods, and effective preventive control measures to prevent the occurrence and spread of the disease. As a science popularization book, we strive to make the text concise, easy to understand, content practical, and highly operable. We hope that the publication of this book will serve as a powerful tool for the public to grasp scientific knowledge, prevent, and overcome diseases.
