Features: Introduction: The book includes 120 color photographs of adult cross-sectional specimens and 270 cT and MRI images. The human cross-sectional specimens were prepared by the Department of Anatomy at Shandong University School of Medicine using the frozen section technique. The thickness of the cross-sectional specimens of the head and limbs is 8 mm, while that of the trunk is 10 mm. The base line for the horizontal cross-sectional specimens of the head is the line from the outer canthus to the ear, the base line for the sagittal cross-sectional specimens of the head is parallel to the midsagittal plane, and the base line for the coronal cross-sectional specimens of the head is perpendicular to the line from the outer canthus to the ear. The cT and MRI images were obtained from living subjects and prepared by the Department of Radiology at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University and the Shandong Provincial Institute of Medical Imaging. The CT scanners used were spiral CT and multi-slice spiral CT, and the field strength of the MRI scanners was 15T. It should be noted that Doctors Gao Bo, Lin Xiangtao, and Liu Xuejing, disregarding the damage of X-rays to tissues, provided their own CT and MRI images. This selfless spirit is admirable. Professor Lan Mingzhen and Professor Hua Bochen have provided meticulous guidance for many years, and the teachers of the Department of Anatomy at Shandong University School of Medicine have offered much assistance. Gratitude is expressed to all of them.
