Features: This book is a revised version of Fundamental Analytical Chemistry Experiments, published in 1993. It is closely coordinated with the theoretical course of analytical chemistry, covering both classical chemical analysis and modern instrumental analysis methods. The content includes basic experiments, self-designed experiments, and optional experiments outside the classroom. The experiments cover inorganic analysis, organic analysis, structural analysis, compositional analysis, etc., with the aim of cultivating students' rigorous "quantitative" concept, pragmatic scientific attitude, and ability to handle practical problems. The book is divided into five parts: Basic Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry Experiments, Instruments and Operating Methods, Experimental Section, Common Computer Programs and Data Tables for Analytical Chemistry Experiments. It includes 38 basic experiments, 21 self-designed experiments, and 21 optional experiments outside the classroom. All experiments offer flexibility, allowing selection based on needs. They include titration analysis, gravimetric analysis, separation methods, ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometry, infrared spectroscopy, fluorescence spectrophotometry, atomic absorption spectroscopy, atomic emission spectroscopy, electrochemical analysis, gas chromatography, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, as well as experiments on the inspection and calibration of common analytical instruments. This book can serve as a laboratory manual for relevant majors in comprehensive universities, normal universities, and institutions of technology, agriculture, forestry, and medicine. It is also suitable for scientists and technicians engaged in chemical testing for study and reference.
