Patient's question:
I always can't figure out the reason for the sharp pain in my lower abdomen. At first, I thought it was food poisoning and stomachache, but then I learned that the sharp pain in my lower abdomen is caused by ovarian cysts. Do I need to have a needle treatment for ovarian cysts? Is needle treatment like suction, where something is inserted into the ovary?Doctor's answer:
Ovarian cysts are a relatively common gynecological benign disease. The causes of ovarian cysts may be chronic inflammatory reactions, chocolate cysts of the ovary, or tumors. Ovarian cysts with a volume of less than three centimeters, in addition to possibly being physiological, are caused by unruptured follicles. For ovarian cysts with a volume of less than three centimeters, treatment is generally not required, and irregular close observation can be performed. For cysts with a volume greater than three centimeters and obvious symptoms, puncture and aspiration treatment can be considered.
