Features: This book is one of the complete clinical manuals on medicine published by our press. It is edited by Professor Hu Ji-de from the Changhai Hospital affiliated to the Second Military Medical University. The basic content of this book can be broadly summarized into three parts.
Part 1 primarily introduces fundamental issues in surgery, such as water, electrolyte, and acid-base balance, shock, trauma, burns, frostbite, animal bites, surgical infections, blood transfusion, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, early postoperative complications, surgical nutrition, and superficial and soft tissue tumors.
Part 2 focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic, inflammatory, and tumor-related diseases of various anatomical regions and organs, with particular emphasis on specific surgical diagnostic and treatment measures. The content includes conditions of the neck, breast, abdomen (stomach and duodenum), large and small intestines, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, appendix, rectum and anus, vascular surgery, and pediatric surgery.
Part 3 briefly introduces minor surgeries in general surgery outpatient and emergency departments, as well as the application of gastrointestinal anastomotic devices. The second edition has been revised to include four new chapters: laparoscopic surgery, surgical external drainage, radiotherapy for tumors, and chemotherapy for tumors, totaling thirty-seven chapters.
