Features: With the continuous promotion and implementation of China's "English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education," various versions of new curriculum standards English textbooks have emerged, accompanied by distinctive English teaching philosophies and methods. This series of textbooks has been adapted and introduced by the People's Education Press as "Experimental English Textbooks for Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (New Target English)." To help a wide range of English teachers in China better implement the spirit of the new curriculum standards and effectively use the new textbooks, we have invited outstanding authors from the Thomson Learning Publishing Group, as well as some excellent English curriculum developers and teachers in China, to compile this series based on the actual needs of secondary school English teaching.
The "English Vocabulary Learning Series" was developed by first-line outstanding English curriculum developers and teachers in China, in accordance with the requirements for English vocabulary at the secondary school level as outlined in the "Experimental English Textbooks for Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards (New Target English)" and China's English Curriculum Standards. This manual not only provides bilingual definitions for each word but also strives to include common "usage," "synonyms," "antonyms," "related words," and "common phrases" to help secondary school students memorize vocabulary through methods such as "making connections" and "association."
