Features: The "Small Works and Fan Painting Competition of 'Guohua'" organized by the Editorial Department of the "Guohua" magazine of Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House has come to an end. In this competition, our original intention was to hold a nationwide small works painting competition using the traditional Chinese art form of fan painting. The aim was to promote and inherit the excellent national cultural traditions of our country, delve deeper into the connotations of this unique cultural and artistic expression form of fan painting, explore its diversified development paths, and provide a platform for Chinese painting enthusiasts to learn, communicate, and participate. Through this event, we hoped to discover and promote more emerging artists and new works. During this competition, we received active responses from many professional and amateur art workers from all over the country. Over the course of a year, we first registered and preliminarily evaluated the works submitted from all over the country, and then held a 20-day "Small Works and Fan Painting Exhibition and Symposium of 'Guohua'" at the Tianjin People's Fine Arts Publishing House Exhibition Hall in 2002. At the exhibition, we also invited experts and scholars from relevant fields to carefully evaluate the submitted works. They selected 10 first prizes, 30 second prizes, 50 third prizes, and 112 excellence awards.
