Features: Tang Xiaoming, native of Lingchuan, Guangxi. Born in Guilin City in 1939. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1964. Formerly served as Chairman of the Guangdong Fine Arts Association. Currently a painter at the Guangdong Art Institute and a First-Class Fine Arts Master. Member of the China Fine Arts Association, Council Member of the China Oil Painting Association, and Chairman of the Academic Committee of the Guangdong Fine Arts Association. His works have been selected multiple times for provincial and national art exhibitions, receiving numerous national and provincial awards. Some of his works have been exhibited abroad. Major representative works include: oil paintings Unconditional War, Female Committee Member, and Humen Militiamen, all selected for the national exhibition in 1972, with Unconditional War being collected by the National Art Museum of China; oil paintings Full of Passion and the comic strip Lu Xun in Guangzhou, selected for the national exhibition in 1977 and collected by the National Art Museum of China; oil painting Let Wisdom Shine, selected for the national exhibition in 1979 and awarded, collected by the National Art Museum of China; oil painting Mr. Sun Yat-sen, selected for the national exhibition in 1986 and awarded, collected by the National Art Museum of China. Works are also collected by institutions such as the Chinese Military Museum, Guangdong Art Museum, and Guangzhou Art Museum. The China Postal Service has issued commemorative stamps featuring Unconditional War and Female Committee Member. Published art books include: Tang Xiaoming: Works of Painters from the Guangdong Art Institute, New Works of Painters from the Guangdong Art Institute: Tang Xiaoming, and Tang Xiaoming: Oil Painting and Nudes.
