Features: The implementation of nine-year compulsory education and the weekend system in our country has provided children with time and space to develop actively and proactively. How can we provide better mathematics learning and development for children with exceptional abilities? This is a hot topic of concern for parents, teachers, and society. In 1994, when I met with Professor Oharen, the president of the World Association of National Mathematical Competitions, in Bulgaria, we shared a common view: stimulating interest in mathematics learning, guiding learning methods, and cultivating thinking skills are key aspects of mathematics education. Based on this, the primary school mathematics extracurricular reading materials I edited have consistently reflected the views that "interest is the source of good learning motivation" and "thinking is the core of intelligence and ability." Today, "mathematical intelligence development for adolescents" and "textbook development for mathematics weekend schools" are no longer just research topics for educators but have gained recognition and increasing attention from all sectors of society. At the beginning of the new year, as the turn of the century approaches, I hope that the "experimental textbooks" can contribute their modest efforts to the cultivation of talent in the new century and become good teachers and companions for young mathematics enthusiasts.
