These days, my heart is quite restless. Sitting in the courtyard to enjoy the cool tonight, I suddenly remembered the lotus pond where days have passed. Under the full moon's light, it must surely look different. The moon gradually rose higher, and the laughter of children outside the wall on the road had already faded away; my wife was in the house patting Run'er, humming folk songs drowsily. I quietly put on my coat and quietly left with the door locked.
Following the lotus pond is a winding small road paved with broken bricks. It's an secluded path; few people walk it even during the day, and it feels even more lonely at night. Around the pond are many trees, lush and dense. Along one side of the road are willows and some unnamed trees. On nights without moonlight, this road is eerie and a bit frightening. But tonight, it was quite good, though the moonlight was still faint.
