Features: "Economic Learning" collects some of the more outstanding papers written by students from the base program, which reflect, from one perspective, the achievements of the base program. Although these papers are still somewhat immature, as the saying goes, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." We believe that with effort, these young saplings will eventually grow into towering trees. The National Economics Talent Cultivation Base of Renmin University of China is one of the first national economics talent cultivation bases established by the Ministry of Education. The goal of the base is to cultivate high-level economics talent for the 21st century who are academically excellent, have a solid foundation, broad knowledge, strong adaptability, and possess innovative awareness. Since its establishment in 1998, the base has adhered to the requirements proposed by the Ministry of Education—"clear objectives, leading reforms, outstanding results, optimized faculty, advanced facilities, excellent teaching, and first-class quality"—and has conducted in-depth explorations in the content, methods, levels, and models of talent cultivation. It has achieved fruitful results, promoted the teaching and research work of the base, and enhanced the comprehensive quality of students.
