Can tubal tumors be seen on ultrasound?

Patient's question:

Hello, could you please ask about this disease? Can a tubal tumor be seen on ultrasound?

Doctor's answer:

Your vaginal ultrasound can reveal the length of the fallopian tubes, whether there is fluid accumulation in the fallopian tubes, and whether there is thickening in the fallopian tubes. However, vaginal ultrasound cannot determine how the fallopian tubes are.
Recommendation: If you want to check how the fallopian tubes are, you can undergo a fallopian tube hydrosalpinx test or a fallopian tube iodine oil contrast examination. For the preparation before the fallopian tube hydrosalpinx test, you should avoid sexual activity and vaginal cervical inflammation during the 3 to 7 days after your menstrual period ends before the procedure.
